Simon commenced as Senior Minister of the church in February 2010.
After fifteen years of teaching in the fields of spirituality and pastoral theology, first at Sydney's Macquarie University and then at Melbourne's Whitley College, he has returned to pastoral ministry.
Before studying theology, Simon trained and worked as a chef. His passion for food continues as does his love of coffee, cafes, architecture, reading, walking and writing.
His books include The Bible and Business of Life (ATF Press, 2004) and the award-winning God Next Door: Spirituality and Mission in the Neighbourhood (Acorn Press, 2007).
Simon lives here in the city with his wife Brenda and their two children Ali and Nathaniel.
