I have been a member of the Ashburton Baptist Church for most of my life, but when I retired as Principal of Korowa Anglican Girls’ School in 2003, and with husband Peter moved to the inner city, I found a new spiritual home at CSBC.

CSBC is a wonderful, encouraging community of believers, and committed to Micah’s vision – ‘what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God’. Led by loving, insightful and deeply spiritual pastors, we seek to be a true and transformative presence in the inner city for all of its people. The Verandah Café and Credo Café, at the front and back of our lovely old church building, to me signify that wish to connect with all, no matter what their circumstances.

In retirement, I am a member of a number of Boards, including the Melbourne Citymission and the Invergowrie Foundation. Until this year, I have been President of Whitley College. I also love history, and have written about it, especially our Victorian Baptist churches, and the great art of Calisthenics.
